Nick Zissimopulos

Marian Rush

Nick Zissimopulos represents people who have been accused of crimes in both State and Federal courts. He has experience handling a variety of cases ranging from misdemeanors to complex felonies, including:

  • DUI (felony and misdemeanor)
  • Drug trafficking, sale and possession
  • Robbery and theft crimes
  • Firearm offenses
  • Sex offenses
  • Domestic violence

Nick understands that there is no substitute for preparation. From the first meeting with a client, he works to get to know his client, as well as develop defenses and strategies to avoid prosecution. He understands that a proper defense requires immediate action, often before a person has actually been charged.

One of the most difficult issues for a person facing a criminal allegation is the uncertainty of what will happen in the future. Nick provides a variety of ways for his clients to stay in touch with him, even after regular business hours, so that he is available to answer any questions that may arise.

Nick grew up in Florida and has lived in Gainesville since attending undergraduate and law school at the University of Florida.  During law school he was on the winning Trial Team coached by Robert Rush.  Since then, he has become the coach for the UF College of Law's Trial Team, taking the team to the championships.
